Breakfast Cereal, Generic - 500g Box

Flakes of corn-like food product in a recycled cardboard box. Sometimes they even have minature plastic toys in. As if life isn’t dangerous enough without early morning choking hazards.

Pizza Delivery, Generic

A Pizza sometime later that day. Possibly the one you ordered, and also hot (if you’re very lucky).

Soy, Algae and kelp (or whatever goes into it these days). Shaped and flavoured to resemble food. This is what you eat every day.

Food, Good Quality Prepack – 1 Meal

Actually looks and tastes like food. Unless you have ever had the real thing. Nourishing and fairly tasty.

Meal, Main Course (Generic Bar or Restaurant)

A burger, fried pseudo-chicken or rice & noodles whilst watching the TV vid-stream and drinking a cold one in the company of your buddies and Gino the barman, or if you’re lucky, a young Italian waitress.

The drink that looks like milk, smells like milk and tastes a bit like it too (assuming you have ever had the real thing. Never even seen a cow.

Nourishment-in-a-Can

Liquid meal replacement. A can of flavoured soya drink with all the necessary vitamins and minerals to get you through a third of a day.

Self-Heating Meal

Like an MRE, but bought in a supermarket. Comes in a silver tray.

Soft Drink, 330ml Can

Available from vending machines, gas stations, drugstores and corner shops. In a variety of fruit flavours. Delicious and refreshing.

Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, French, Thai, Indian, English, American, Turkish. Food from around the world brought to a greasy shop near your favourite drinking establishment.

TV Dinner

Main course and dessert in a handy plastic tray. Cook it in your microwave oven during the advert break of your favourite TV show.

No frills, mass production liquor. Uncompromising, and gives the required effect. Rumoured to be carcinogenic, but never proven. Drunk around burning oil drums.

What people drink if they actually like whisky or vodka. Good quality alcohol. Give it as a gift and make a friend.
